The Judge Group is currently in search of a Shift Manager for a large fresh foods supplier in Maryland. This individual will be over the second shift operation. He or she MUST have a strong fresh foods background.
Responsibilities:
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
Leads Supervisors and Team Members in a high-speed, fast paced fresh foods environment
Provides leadership to manufacturing by developing and implementing short range plans and identifying goals and objectives to meet the plant's vision, mission and long range strategic plans
Utilizes assigned resources to maximize manufacturing output, minimize waste/downtime, improve capacity and efficiencies and maintain product quality and integrity
Develops high performing work teams to effectively meet the changing needs of the business
Consults with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products
Assists with Quality Control programs to safeguard product quality
Directs and manages all business unit resources to successfully deliver results in quality, cost, safety, service, and employee moral
Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA and OSHA methods policies and procedures
Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product formulations, and operating or production problems
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to test; Viscosity, Bond, shrinkage, wedge cracking, and application in order to improve product quality
Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data
REQUIREMENTS:
3
years of fresh foods plant operations experience
Strong supervisory/management background
Bachelor's degree is not required
Must be open to shift (this is a 2nd shift opportunity)
Experience in a fast paced, high speed, fresh foods environment
Local candidates will receive first consideration
Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
