Our repeat client is a leader in the construction industry in business in the DMV for over 50 years! This company is led by a team with more than 150 years combined experience in the construction industry Due to growth in the business, they are currently looking to add a Billing Clerk, skilled in AP and AR, to their medium size team and work in their office in Jessup, MD on a contract to hire basis.
This person will have the opportunity to grow into a Billing Manager over the next couple years! Employees have been described as warm, welcoming, and family friendly and work environment is very laid back and old school Schedule:
100% in office in Jessup, MD.
Typical office hours are M-F 8:
30am-5pm with a one hour lunch but can be flexible to meet candidates' needs.
Reports to the CFO Job Duties of the Billing Clerk:
AR Duties:
Check work orders for pricing, size and selection for the job that is scheduled for next day.
Enter billing information in the system to create invoices and send it to customers accordingly.
Prepare estimated cost sheet for customers.
Handle a workload of 60-80 invoices daily on average.
Check proposals and get approvals.
Provide management with spreadsheet of daily sales for jobs that are not completed and missing billing and PO.
Filing AR documents and paperwork accordingly.
AP Duties:
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Receive, open, and file invoices.
Match invoices with proof of delivery, bill of lading, and purchase order.
Reconcile vendor price and adjust prices.
Process and enter invoices in the system.
Prepare spreadsheets for payable invoices as required.
Post payments and vendor discounts in the system.
Communicate with vendors regarding invoice payments, price adjustments, credits, discrepancies etc.
Review prices keyed on purchase order and inventory screen and adjustment.
Review work orders and pull invoices for claims and file.
Assist and provide documents and information during field exam, audit or for tax purposes.
Qualifications for the Billing Clerk:

years' billing/accounting experience Associates degree or higher education in any field a plus, but not required Experience using an accounting ERP system preferred Basic Excel skills required Detail oriented and able to communicate professionally internally and externally with a variety of personalities and cultures Comfortable working on a team in a fast paced, paper heavy environment Able to meet deadlines and push others to assist in meeting those deadlines #INMAR2024#CBMAR2024 Recommended Skills Accounts Payable Auditing Billing Claim Processing Enterprise Resource Planning Filing Apply to this job.
